2. Legal framework in the Netherlands
Under Dutch and EU law, storing or accessing information on your device (cookies, local storage, pixels) is regulated by:
- The Dutch Telecommunicatiewet (implementation of the EU ePrivacy rules for electronic communications);
- The GDPR and Dutch UAVG for any subsequent processing of personal data obtained via cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies may be placed without consent where they are essential for a service you request. Non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics, marketing) require your prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent. You must be able to refuse as easily as you accept—our banner offers “Accept all”, “Reject”, and granular “Cookie settings”, in line with guidance from the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP) and EU regulators.
3. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, or phone when you visit a website. Local storage (used on this Site for your consent choice) stores data in your browser without expiry until cleared. Pixels/tags may be used by third-party tools if you consent to marketing or analytics.
4. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Legal basis | Can you refuse? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operation of the Site, security, remembering your cookie choice | Legitimate interest / legal obligation (no consent required) | No — required for basic functions |
| Analytics | Understanding aggregated traffic and improving content | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) | Yes — default off until you accept |
| Marketing | Measuring campaigns or remarketing, if enabled | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) | Yes — default off until you accept |
5. Cookies and storage on this Site
| Name / technology | Type | Category | Retention | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
tdde_ergo_cookie_consent (local storage) |
Local storage | Strictly necessary (consent record) | Up to 12 months or until cleared | First party (this Site) |
| Session / security cookies (if set by host) | HTTP cookie | Strictly necessary | Session or short-term | Hosting provider |
| Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) | HTTP cookie | Analytics — only after consent | Per provider policy (often up to 26 months) | Third party — only if activated |
| Marketing cookies | HTTP cookie / pixel | Marketing — only after consent | Per provider policy | Third party — only if activated |
We only load non-essential scripts or cookies after you choose “Accept all” or enable categories in “Cookie settings” and save. Choosing “Reject” stores a record that non-essential categories are off.
6. Third-party content and cookies
Our Transparency About Contact page embeds Google Maps. When you load or interact with the map, Google Ireland Limited (or related Google entities) may process personal data under their own terms. That processing is separate from our cookie banner; we recommend reviewing Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s cookie information. Where possible, we use privacy-enhanced embedding and load such content only when you visit the relevant page.
7. Managing your preferences
- Use our on-screen banner: Accept all, Reject, or Cookie settings (strictly necessary always on; analytics and marketing toggles).
- Change your mind later: clear site data in your browser or delete local storage for this domain, then revisit—the banner will appear again.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete all cookies. See help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Blocking all cookies may affect Site functionality.
- Industry opt-outs: for some advertising cookies, visit youronlinechoices.eu (European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance).
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
8. Your rights and complaints
Data collected via cookies may constitute personal data. You have rights under the GDPR and UAVG (access, erasure, objection, etc.)—see our Privacy Policy. Contact: mailuse@chargeexpel.world.
You may lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP): autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
9. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change technologies or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will change. Please check this page regularly.
